- Oversee quality control programs, audits, and follow‑up on out‑of‑spec issues.
- Optimize production systems to maximize lumber value, grade, and recovery.
- Partner with production, maintenance, sales, and external inspectors to resolve quality issues and drive improvements.
- At least 3 years of quality control experience in the wood products industry
- Strong understanding of lumber manufacturing and knowledge of lumber grading
- Experience with optimization technology
- Comfort supervising a team
- Motivated, organized self‑starter who pays attention to detail, communicates well, works well with others and handles pressure
