You will be responsible for approving or declining consumer credit requests with underwriting authority of $100,000 to $1,000,000 or commercial credit requests with underwriting authority of $250,000 to $1,000,000. What You’ll Do
- Approve/decline or make recommendation for alternative financing within established loan authority
- Mentor, train and coach bankers
- Assist in training and mentoring Underwriter I’s
- Act as the department liaison
- Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in lending, preferably within underwriting
- Proven record of success in an underwriting environment
- Ability to understand cash flow, financial statements and leverage ratios
- Ability to analyze financial statements and evaluate cash flow, capital and collateral adequacy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
