Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Manager
Job Summary:
The ERP System Manager is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the institution’s enterprise resource planning products like the Student Information System (e.g. Ellucian PowerCampus, Colleague, Banner), CRM (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM) and financial management software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or Business Central). This role ensures seamless integration, data integrity, and system performance while supporting business processes across student administration, customer relationship management, and financial operations. The ERP System Manager collaborates with stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors to enhance system functionality and drive efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
System Administration & Maintenance
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Student Information System, CRM, and financial systems.
- Ensure system availability, performance, and security by implementing best practices and regular monitoring.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and security settings in compliance with institutional policies.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades in coordination with IT and vendor support teams.
Business Process Optimization & Integration
- Work closely with business units to understand requirements and optimize workflows within ERP systems.
- Lead efforts to integrate ERP systems with other enterprise applications.
- Develop and implement automation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all ERP platforms.
Project Management & Implementation
- Lead ERP-related projects, including system enhancements, module rollouts, and migration efforts.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with third-party service providers for system support and improvements.
- Conduct system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) before deployments.
User Support & Training
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users across departments.
- Develop user training materials and conduct training sessions to improve adoption and effective system use.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ERP-related inquiries and issue resolution.
- Provide service to the University through activities such as involvement in FNU shared governance (e.g. committees, workgroups), FNU sponsored activities (e.g. charity drives, community-outreach activities), and/or service to the profession (e.g. presentations, professional organization committee work).

Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding of ERP integration, workflows, and data management.
- Knowledge of financial and student information system processes.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading system implementation and optimization projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with higher education student lifecycle processes and reporting requirements.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience managing ERP systems, preferably in higher education or enterprise environments.
- Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, or other automation tools.
- Experience in SQL databases, reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS), and API integrations.
- Hands-on experience with student information systems, CRMs, and financial management systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 40 pounds, etc.
- Sit for extended periods
Reporting Relationship
Reports directly to the Chief Information and Digital Officer
Work Location:
Versailles, KY
Eligible for Hybrid telecommute agreement after 30 days of employment.
