Job description:
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on woodworking machinery, including:
- Edgebanders
- Panel saws
- Point‑to‑point CNC routers
- Doweling machines
- Case clamps
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, misalignment, or potential failures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory.
- Assist with machine setup, calibration, and optimization to support production needs.
- Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure machines operate within safety standards.
- Support facility maintenance tasks such as lighting, compressors, dust collection systems, and general building upkeep.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing industrial woodworking equipment.
Solid understanding of electrical systems, including motors, sensors, wiring, and control panels.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
Experience with CNC machinery troubleshooting is highly preferred.
Familiarity with PLCs is a plus (not required).
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
Experience maintaining electrical equipment
Experience with leading a team of maintenance personnel or supervisory experience.
Previous maintenance experience in a woodworking, cabinet, or millwork facility.
Knowledge of dust collection systems and shop safety standards.
