Frontier Door and Cabinet is the premier provider of interior and exterior doors and high-quality cabinets for the commercial construction industry. The company is hiring a Payroll Specialist to provide direct support to the Payroll Administrator in order to ensure the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

· Assist in the processing of weekly and biweekly Payrolls for approximately 300 employees (Union and Non-Union) via ADP Payroll services (ADP WORKFORCE NOW).

· Process Prevailing Wage, Certified payroll, and union reporting.

· Ensures accurate withholdings and submission of Payroll taxes and other deductions through ADP.

· Coordinate with the HR department to ensure correct employee data.

· Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll related matters.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Degree in business administration, finance, or accounting preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working in a payroll office.

Skills and Abilities and Physical Demands required:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs.

· Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Good time management and organizational skills.

· Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations.

· Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.

· Honesty and integrity

· Ability to collaborate effectively.

· All standard office equipment, including phone, fax, copier, printer, calculator, and computer.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Desk is provided, but standing/walking approximately 2-4 hours/day, 5 days a week. May be required to work 6 days/week depending on business need. Use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, particularly reading that may be very fine print.

The employee will regularly be twisting, bending, squatting, pushing, and moving or lifting 10-15 pounds. The employee will frequently lift and/or move 10-25 pounds.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

  • Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Payroll Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)
