Frontier Community Resources (FCR) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and service-focused professional to serve as our next Business Support Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected economic development organization whose work directly supports business growth, job creation, and community development throughout Southern and Southwestern Idaho.

As a key member of our team, you will provide executive and board support, coordinate office operations, assist with loan and program administration, support financial and regulatory reporting, and help ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of our organization. Your work will support staff, board members, borrowers, funding partners, and community stakeholders while helping advance programs that strengthen local businesses and communities.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Support Specialist serves as a key administrative and operational support professional for Frontier Community Resources. This position is responsible for coordinating executive and board support activities, managing office operations, supporting loan and program administration functions, maintaining organizational records, and assisting with financial, regulatory, and grant reporting requirements.

Working closely with the President, Board of Directors, Director of Finance, lending staff, borrowers, government agencies, and community partners, the Business Support Specialist helps ensure the efficient operation of organizational programs and services while supporting Frontier Community Resources' mission of promoting economic development, job creation, and business growth throughout the communities it serves.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Executive, Board, & Administrative Support

· Manage executive and organizational calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and scheduling activities.

· Coordinate Board of Directors and committee meetings, including agendas, board packets, meeting logistics, and supporting materials.

· Attend meetings and prepare meeting minutes, summaries, and action items.

· Assist with presentations, reports, correspondence, and materials for executive leadership and board meetings.

· Serve as a professional liaison with board members, borrowers, vendors, government agencies, and community partners.

· Manage incoming and outgoing mail and general administrative communications.

Office Operations & Procurement

· Coordinate day-to-day office operations and administrative functions.

· Maintain inventory and purchase office supplies, marketing materials, promotional items, and company-branded merchandise (SWAG).

· Coordinate vendor relationships and purchasing activities.

· Support meetings, events, conferences, and community outreach efforts.

· Maintain purchasing records and inventory controls.

Loan & Program Administration

· Prepare loan, portfolio, program, and management reports.

· Review loan files for completeness and compliance.

· Maintain borrower records, tax returns, insurance documentation, and annual compliance requirements.

· Assist with SBA administrative documentation and employee clearance requirements.

· Support loan servicing, portfolio administration, and borrower communications.

· Maintain accurate information within organizational systems and databases.

Financial, Compliance, & Reporting Support

· Maintain cash logs and supporting documentation.

· Prepare annual borrower interest statements and related tax-reporting documents.

· Assist with loan balancing, account reconciliations, and statement preparation.

· Coordinate program balance reconciliations with the Director of Finance.

· Prepare USDA Rural Development and other required program reports.

· Support audits, compliance reviews, and grant-reporting activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in Bookkeeping, Business, Accounting, Finance, Office Administration, or a related field.

Three or more years of experience in administrative support, executive support, office management, lending support, accounting support, or program administration.

Experience supporting executive leadership and Boards of Directors.

Experience preparing meeting minutes, reports, and organizational correspondence.

Familiarity with lending, SBA, USDA Rural Development, economic development, or nonprofit programs.

Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
