AUDIOLOGIST – VA DISABILITY EVALUATIONS
OVERVIEW
This Audiologist opportunity supporting VA Disability Examinations in Fargo, ND is ideal for clinicians seeking a focused, low-administrative clinical role without ongoing patient management. You will work with Veterans completing Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations that directly support VA disability benefit determinations.
The work is structured and predictable: no treatment, no follow-up care, no hearing aid fittings, and no prescribing. You will perform objective hearing evaluations, document your clinical findings, and submit completed reports.
POSITION DETAILS
Location: Fargo, ND
Schedule: 1 day per week
Patient volume: 5–6 Veterans per day
Employment type: Part-time / Per diem
Pay: $600 per day
OFFICE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This is a per diem role. You do not need to own or provide an office or clinic space.
Examinations are performed onsite at the assigned VES clinic in Fargo, ND.
Applicants must reside within 50 miles of Fargo, ND.
You must be able to reliably commute to and work onsite at the assigned Fargo clinic.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct audiology Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans.
Evaluate hearing loss, tinnitus, and other hearing-related conditions for disability determinations.
Document objective clinical findings accurately using VA-required electronic documentation systems.
Complete and submit all required examination reports on time.
Follow all VA examination protocols, documentation standards, and quality requirements.
Provide professional, respectful, and compassionate care throughout each Veteran encounter.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or Doctorate in Audiology from a CAA- or ACAE-accredited program.
Active North Dakota Audiologist license.
Current unrestricted license in good standing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous VA or C&P examination experience.
Experience performing disability evaluations or independent medical examinations (IMEs).
