JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a memorable experience for our guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with guests, take orders and serve food & beverages
- Assess guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Work collaboratively on bar menu offerings
- Check guest identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Monitor guest behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Upsell additional food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience
- Superior knowledge of classic cocktails, as well as the capability to quickly and efficiently build, shake, and create them for clientele
- Exemplify outstanding communication skills, with the aptitude to create unique experiences for clientele and promote wonderful customer service
- Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent service
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
- Embody a strong and efficient work ethic, including, but not limited to keeping a clean and tidy work area, keeping guest areas clean, polishing chinaware e.g. glassware, plate-ware, silverware
- Complete opening/closing duties, follow standards in place, as well as filling out prep/checklist
- Adhere to cash handling policies with the ability to perform credit card charges as well as provide guests with accurate bills and ring in all orders accurately and at the time of the sale
- Assist with cost-control, inventory taking, and maintaining pars
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong hospitality and guest service skills
- Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Previous experience as a bartender
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with food safety regulations is a plus
- Time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Technical knowledge of brewing, distilling, and winemaking is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques
