Special Needs Child Caregiver Needed – Chapin, SC
From The Heart Home Care is hiring a compassionate, dependable caregiver for a young child with special needs in Chapin, SC.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, creating engaging routines, and providing supportive companionship in a home setting.
Schedule
Ideal Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
➡ Schedule is somewhat flexible
➡Occasional days off may occur due to out-of-town medical appointments
What You’ll Do
- Provide companionship and interactive play
- Assist with meals and feeding support
- Assist with diapering, bathing, and daily care routines
- Help with light cleaning related to the child’s space and activities
- Encourage outdoor activities such as walks and playtime
- Accompany child to the library, park, or other child-friendly outings as appropriate
- Support a safe, structured, and engaging environment
Additional Schedule Notes
- Tuesday & Friday mornings include speech therapy sessions
- Caregiver may participate in or observe sessions, or use that time for related household/childcare tasks
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with children or special needs care preferred
- Must be dependable and reliable (attendance is critical)
- Energetic, patient, and nurturing personality
- Comfortable working in a home setting
- Strong communication skills
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle (REQUIRED – ride share services such as Uber/Lyft are not acceptable for this position)
- MUST BE A SOUTH CAROLINA RESIDENT
- Ability to pass a background check
