Special Needs Child Caregiver – Chapin, SC (26 Hours/Week)
From The Heart Home Care is hiring a compassionate, patient caregiver to work one-on-one with a young child with special needs in Chapin, SC.
This is a rewarding, hands-on role for someone who truly enjoys working with young children and wants to make a meaningful impact in a child’s daily life and development.
Schedule
Approximately 26 hours per week
Schedule will be consistent with some flexibility based on family needs
What You’ll Do
- Provide companionship and engage in play-based interaction
- Assist with meals and feeding
- Perform diapering and bathing assistance
- Light cleaning related to the child’s space
- Encourage outdoor play (walks, playtime outside)
- Accompany child on outings such as the park or library
- Support a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with children or special needs care preferred
- Must be patient, gentle, and engaging
- Someone who enjoys playing, teaching, and interacting with young children
- Dependable and consistent (attendance is very important)
- Comfortable working in a home setting
- Reliable transportation
- Must be a South Carolina resident
- Ability to pass a background check
