Seeking a skilled and compassionate Vascular Access Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, inserting and maintaining various vascular access devices, and providing education to staff and patients. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, precision, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Job Summary:
The Vascular Access Registered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating vascular access nursing care to patients according to Froedtert Hospital's nursing professional practice model.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 2 years of recent direct patient care as a registered nurse in a medical/surgical or critical care clinical setting is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days.
