Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate a calm, professional demeanor during high-volume periods or unusual situations
  • Promote a “customer comes first” attitude by training employees and holding them accountable for providing excellent customer service
  • Lead and support the implementation of company programs, procedures, and expectations
  • Develop action plans and directly motivate, coach, and instruct the store team
  • Plan, communicate, delegate, and follow up on responsibilities to ensure smooth store operations
  • Monitor and manage store staffing levels
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and accurately with employees, customers, and ownership
  • Solicit and respond to customer feedback to better understand customer needs
  • Actively manage employees through performance feedback, coaching, accountability, and goal setting
  • Help maintain consistent product quality, cleanliness, efficiency, and overall store standards
  • Support team development by coaching, mentoring, and training employees

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of customer service techniques
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures
  • Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3–5 years of proven management experience in the food service industry or a leadership role in a related industry preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays during the March through November operating season
  • Must be available throughout the March through November operating season
  • Compensation is spread out over 12 months, despite the store operating seasonally from March through November

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the following duties safely:

  • Constant standing and walking
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs. independently
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, or ramps
  • Frequent use of computer, POS register, and fountain equipment
  • Frequent and continual flexing or rotation of the wrists and spine
  • Constant reaching, turning, and precision work around the fountain area
  • Constant talking and communication with employees and customers
  • Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances
