Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Front Office Coordinator to oversee daily front desk operations at our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role is critical to ensuring smooth patient intake, accurate scheduling, exceptional customer service, and strong coordination between patients, clinical staff, and administrative leadership. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with ASC or surgical practice experience who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Key Duties

  • Oversee daily front desk operations, patient intake, and scheduling
  • Supervise, train, and schedule front office staff
  • Ensure accurate insurance verification, authorizations, and payment arrangements
  • Manage in-network and out-of-network benefit verification and coordination
  • Coordinate vendors/representatives with scheduled cases and day-of-service timelines
  • Address patient concerns, monitor wait times, and maintain efficient patient flow
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and ASC policies
  • Collaborate with billing, coding, business development, and marketing teams
  • Assist with provider credentialing and onboarding communication
  • Maintain EOC and preventative maintenance documentation
  • Serve as Medical Records Custodian and Notary for medical record affidavits
  • Prepare operational reports (patient volumes, no-shows, scheduling efficiency)
  • Act as liaison between front office and clinical teams

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of medical office experience (ASC or surgical setting preferred)
  • Strong experience with in-network and out-of-network benefit verification
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work independently
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused problem solver
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in EHR and medical practice management systems

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
