Serve as a centralized registrar and data clerk for the District while providing administrative support for the Student Services Department. This position will be a central point of contact and focus on managing student enrollment, transfers, and open enrollment (“Access Frisco”) processes.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:High school diploma or GEDSome college preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:Proficient in personal computer use, file maintenance, and email communicationProficient in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing documentsExperience with student information systems and records managementEffective organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skillsAbility to meet established deadlines in a multitasking environmentSelf-sufficient problem solverStrong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to develop and implement tracking systems and process improvementsStrong math and accounting skills
Experience:Minimum of three years of registrar/data tracking experience, preferably in a public education environmentExperience with student enrollment or transfer processes preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Provide administrative support for the Student Services Department.Maintain confidentiality of all student records and dataCreate and maintain physical and computerized enrollment, withdrawal, and transfer records.Proactively obtain student records from previous schools by initiating and following up on record requests.Review and analyze incoming student records for completeness and accuracy.Key and verify source, PEIMS, and results data according to standard procedures, while recognizing and correcting errors prior to processing.Interact with third-party software such as online registration systems, state record transfer systems, and college admissions processing.Create, manage, and maintain a real-time tracking system for open enrollment ("Access Frisco") applicants.Monitor application progress and maintain data regarding application volume, approvals, and denials.Continuously communicate with open enrollment applicants to keep them informed and engaged throughout the process.Manage tuition payments for pre-K and virtual program(s).Serve as a point of contact for recruitment, enrollment, and transfers.Communicate and collaborate with campus registrars, data clerks, and/or principals as needed.Collaborate with district leadership to develop and refine standard operating procedures for centralized registration and enrollment functions.Collaborate with Student Services staff, other departments, and necessary stakeholders to identify and resolve enrollment issues.Provide reports and summaries to district leadership as requested.Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying trends and opportunities to enhance the enrollment experience.
