Position Summary
The Executive Chef provides leadership and oversight for all culinary and food service operations throughout Friendsview. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality dining experiences while maintaining operational excellence, regulatory compliance, budget oversight, and resident satisfaction.
The Executive Chef leads culinary operations across multiple dining venues, including residential dining, memory care, public-facing dining services, and catering operations.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and refresh seasonal menus based on resident preferences and dietary needs

Lead scratch cooking, farm-to-table, and regional cuisine initiatives

Oversee all kitchen operations and food production

Maintain consistency through standardized recipes and portion control

Manage food purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships

Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor culinary team members
-
Foster a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture
-
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
-
Lead preparation for inspections and regulatory surveys
-
Maintain HACCP standards and safe food handling practices
-
Monitor food cost, labor, and departmental budgets
Qualifications
Required:
-
Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary experience
-
Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or Executive Chef role
-
ServSafe Manager Certification
-
Valid Food Handler’s Card
-
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred:

Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field

Experience in healthcare, senior living, or institutional dining
-
Experience managing budgets, labor, and inventory systems
