Friendship is looking for a Full Time Business Office Manager to join our Friendship Richfield team, located in Salem, VA. The Business Office Manager is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with Business Office policies and procedures.

Friendship is looking for a Full Time Business Office Manager to join our Friendship Richfield team, located in Salem, VA. The Business Office Manager is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with Business Office policies and procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Daily management of census data
- Obtain complete and accurate data for claim/statement creation within stated timeframes
- Maintains payer data and payer liability amounts
- Respond to CBO inquiries; coordinate the collection of missing data from center that is critical to billing (MDS, Therapy)
- Create and deliver accurate private statements; manage private collections to meet Friendship targets
- Initiate private write-offs and refunds
- Manage Resident Trust Fund in accordance with Federal and State regulations
- Charge entry
- Participates in educational activities and attends monthly staff meetings
- Conducts self in accordance with HPA’s employee manual
- Associate’s Degree in business or related field required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or 5 years of Long Term Care Experience in business office setting
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in insurance billing preferred
- Must possess strong insurance knowledge especially as it pertains to third party payers such as Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care organizations
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, high intensity environment
- Must be organized with great attention to detail
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
