Job Summary
We are seeking a bilingual speaking (Spanish) and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor / Writer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every vehicle owner. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and service writing will help accurately assess vehicle needs, recommend appropriate repairs, and communicate effectively with both customers and technicians. Duties
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed and accurate repair orders, including descriptions of issues, recommended services, and estimated costs using auto estimating tools
- Communicate clearly with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs needed, and parts requirements
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission repairs to maximize customer value
- Provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance schedules and explain repair procedures in understandable terms
- Manage cash handling transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper documentation
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, suspension components, tire services, and auto body repair
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics and repair processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Proficiency in auto estimating software and service writing tools
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, diesel engine repairs, and other essential services
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to upsell services tactfully and ethically
