What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Associate - Fully Remote (NJ Bar Required) position at Friedman Williams?
We are seeking a NJ-admitted litigation associate with approximately 3–5 years of experience to join a growing defense practice.
This is a genuinely fully remote position with no expectation to report to an office. The associate will work closely with a highly experienced senior trial attorney and take on meaningful responsibility across sophisticated defense matters from discovery and motion practice through depositions, court appearances, and trial.
Highlights:
- Fully remote (NJ Bar required)
- $120K–$140K starting base salary, commensurate with experience
- No billable-hour requirement. (Firmwide average is approximately 1,917 hours)
- Broad defense practice including general liability, premises liability, product liability, professional liability, construction/labor law, motor vehicle matters, and catastrophic personal injury
- Meaningful courtroom and trial exposure: Firm invests in second-chair opportunities, trial academies, mentorship, and attorney development
