What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Litigation Paralegal - Personal Injury (IL) position at Friedland Law?
Are you an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager who knows how to keep cases moving, stay organized under pressure, and support attorneys in driving results?
We’re expanding into Illinois and looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Case Manager to work directly with our Personal Injury Attorney in building and managing a strong pre-litigation practice.
This role is critical to ensuring cases are handled efficiently, clients stay informed, and nothing falls through the cracks.
What You’ll Do
- Manage day-to-day activity on a pre-litigation personal injury caseload
- Work closely with the attorney to move cases toward settlement efficiently
- Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates and request information
- Order and review medical records, bills, and supporting documentation
- Track treatment progress and ensure files are properly developed
- Assist in preparing demand packages
- Communicate with insurance adjusters and medical providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and documentation
- Ensure all deadlines, follow-ups, and tasks are completed on time
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager (required)
- Strong knowledge of Illinois personal injury pre-litigation process
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with organization and efficiency
- Excellent communication skills (client-facing and internal)
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with an attorney
- Experience with case management systems (Aderant or similar is a plus)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is Required
