Job description

At Frey, we provide best-in-class customer service. Software Specialist's at FREY work closely with our customers to implement our software, answer their questions, create reports, and more. This is a customer-facing position where an accounting background is required to be successful.
You may not fully understand these tasks currently, but our training and leadership will help you become an expert. Our goal is for you to be proficient with BUCS, CHIPS, and CUBIC in 4-6 months.
- Troubleshoot and assist customers with issues related to accounting, payroll, or utility billing activities via email, phone, and remote desktop assistance software
“A customer’s bank reconciliation is out of balance”
“A fee isn’t being applied to a bill on a customer account”
“A new deduction needs to be applied to all employees”
“A customer needs assistance purging old customer records”
- Train new and existing customers in how to use our products (online and in-person – some travel may be required)
- Perform QA testing on new software releases
- Maintain user guide documentation for our products
- Create release videos and write blog posts about different features in our products
About you
- You have knowledge of accounting, finance, payroll, and billing coming from a bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related field/experience – A CPA IS NOT REQUIRED OR EXPECTED
- You love helping people and take pride in fixing problems, both small and large
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Experience using CRM software or support ticketing software is a plus
- You’re self-motivated and have a growth mindset
- An interest in learning the ins and outs of our products
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office product literacy
