Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation while minimizing downtime.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components including shafts, bearings, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and mechanical drive systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with electro-pneumatic systems using strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Competently utilize digital electrical meters to test continuity, voltage, and resistance, demonstrating a practical understanding of both AC and DC circuits.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain photoelectric and proximity sensors to ensure proper machine operation and automation reliability.
- Assist senior maintenance technicians with equipment installation, advanced repairs, and root cause analysis while adhering to established safety and maintenance procedures.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and repairs, and maintain organized records, tools, and work areas in accordance with company standards.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure timely resolution of equipment issues with minimal impact to production.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for minor mechanical or electrical issues.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and equipment.
