Responsibilities
- Strategic HSE Leadership – Serve as a key member of the site leadership team, driving the integration of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) priorities into all business and operational decisions.
- Safety Culture & Leadership Accountability – Champion a strong safety culture by coaching leaders, challenging practices when needed, and ensuring accountability for HSE performance across the organization.
- Site-Wide HSE Governance – Lead HSE strategy and governance, fostering alignment and engagement across production, engineering, maintenance, logistics, and support functions.
- HSE Team Leadership & Development – Manage and develop the HSE Officer, providing direction, prioritization, coaching, and oversight of daily HSE activities and initiatives.
- Compliance & Management Systems – Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, corporate HSE standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements through effective leadership and execution.
- Occupational Health & Risk Management – Oversee industrial hygiene and occupational health programs, including risk assessment, control strategies, and management of hazardous substances and workplace health risks.
Qualifications
- BILINGUAL IN SPANISH IS PREFERRED
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related technical field; CSP preferred.
- 10 years of HSE leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing operations (300 employees preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Proven ability to influence leaders and engage a diverse workforce; English required, Spanish a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE systems (e.g., Workday, SharePoint, Enablon); able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
