Operations Manager

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for the organization, development, and implementation of all strategies for the fulfillment operations of the warehouse.
• Lead the warehouse team to ensure our product flow is efficient and cost-effective. Point person for various internal and external business partners to communicate, negotiate, and coordinate all needs related to fulfillment management.
• Scale the warehouse within the organization to meet the demands of the other business units. This is through both continuous improvement efforts and/or adding additional staffing as needed.
• Develop KPIs and hold warehouse employees accountable. Set expectations
• Coordinate the hiring, training, coaching and annual performance review of the warehouse team. Facilitate and mentor the development of team members to be outstanding team players. 
• Drive compliance with all local, state, and federal rules to ensure safety and good business practices.
• Manage the relationship with our small package providers including UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL to ensure the best possible service, pricing, and quality.  Look for opportunities to minimize freight costs.
• Responsible for planning, organizing, budgeting, and executing truck logistics in efforts to optimize the company’s freight movements throughout the country including international movement of freight via boat, rail and/or plane. 
• Drive efficiency by utilizing process improvement.
• Ensure we have the appropriate labor and equipment to meet our daily production goals.
• Assess and assist in upgrading the management talent base within the warehouse to achieve growth and meet market needs.
• Manage and assist in coordinating efforts between support departments within the organization.
