Role Overview

Supervisors play a key leadership role in supporting daily operations, leading staff, and ensuring Fresh Monkee delivers exceptional customer service. This position combines operational oversight, staff supervision, customer engagement, and closing responsibilities. Supervisors help maintain efficiency, uphold standards, and ensure the shop is prepared for success each day. Reliability, strong communication, and the ability to lead by example are essential.

Responsibilities

Operations & Workflow

• Oversee daily shop operations, including opening, mid‑shift, and closing responsibilities.
• Maintain smooth workflow and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Manage staff schedules and adjust coverage as needed to meet customer demand and labor targets.
• Monitor inventory levels, complete end‑of‑day counts, and communicate shortages or ordering needs to management.
• Troubleshoot equipment or operational issues and report concerns to the GM or owner.

Staff Leadership & Training

• Lead, motivate, and support team members throughout the shift.
• Assign tasks clearly and ensure all roles are covered.
• Assist with training new employees.
• Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and retraining when needed.
• Foster a positive, professional, and team‑oriented environment.

Customer Service & Product Expertise

• Memorize 30 recipes and prepare multiple shakes at once with accuracy and speed.
• Engage with customers professionally, answer questions about nutritional benefits, and make personalized recommendations.
• Promote add‑ons and upsells to increase ticket sales.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure the team consistently delivers exceptional customer service.

Cash Handling & Reporting

• Oversee accurate cash handling, including register opening/closing and cash drawer counts.
• Prepare and submit daily sales and closing reports.
• Resolve point‑of‑sale issues during the shift.
• Make bank trips for change if needed.

Cleanliness, Sanitation & Safety

• Ensure the shop is cleaned and sanitized throughout the day and fully reset at closing.
• Oversee cleaning of prep areas, equipment, customer spaces, and stock areas.
• Restock cleaning supplies and ensure the shop is ready for the next day.
• Enforce proper food handling, storage, and safety practices.
• Follow all security protocols, including locking doors, securing equipment, and setting the alarm.

Communication & Collaboration

• Maintain clear communication with the GM, owners, and other supervisors.
• Provide updates on operations, staff performance, customer issues, and inventory needs.
• Step in during emergencies or when the GM is unavailable.
• Demonstrate an “all‑in” mindset and represent Fresh Monkee’s values and culture.

Qualifications & Skills

• Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing needs.
• Ability to multitask, work quickly, and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in food service or retail leadership preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Cash‑handling and key‑holding experience.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and emergencies as needed.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
