Maintenance Technician – Massillon

The Fresh Mark facility in Massillon, Ohio, is currently accepting applications for Maintenance Technicians for 2nd shift.

Must be hard working, detail oriented, and drug free. 

Wage and Benefits

• Starting labor rate of $28.60/hr. (Shift differential included)
• $300 sign-on bonus after three months

Key Accountabilities

• Adheres to all food safety and personal safety requirements.   
• Maintains food processing, building and facility equipment through field commonly accepted techniques.  
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures and develop a plan to repair the failure.  
• Provides Maintenance Support to Production Operations Group with quality repairs and excellent performance.  
• Maintains daily log of repairs and submits for record.  
• Conducts Preventative Maintenance on all assigned equipment.  
• Researches parts status, alternative vendors and substitution parts in concert with the Parts Room Clerk.  
• Submits Preventative Maintenance, calibration, verification and other such documentation in a timely manner.  
• Reports actual and potential food and personal safety problems/concerns to management immediately.  
• Responds to routine and emergency calls for repair and service in a timely, efficient manner.  

Minimum Requirements

• A successful candidate will have an Associate degree or 3-5 years’ experience in the maintenance  
• Perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting (up to 75lbs, unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking
• Safely use various manual, power and safety tools common to maintenance 
• Handle commonly used chemicals in accordance with SOPs and SDS 
• Some departments require candidate to fabricate and create food-grade welds using MIG, TIG and stick on various metals.
