Cafe Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Cafe Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our patrons, and covering/filling in when needed. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and have a passion for healthy food made and prepared from scratch, making coffee, serving customers, and interacting in a team environment in addition to working alone.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
• Prepare (lots of prep) and serve a variety of food items and beverages, including coffee, tea, pastries, sandwiches, salads and acai bowls.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations.
• Reliability is a MUST
• Weekend availability

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
