ABOUT FCS

Fresh Creative Studios is a design & marketing agency located in Nashville, TN serving food, beverage, and hospitality brands that seek collaborative creative partners. From logo and brand development to web design and merchandise integration and fulfillment, FCS offers a comprehensive suite of services that support clients’ business goals and growth.

THE ROLE

Full Time in Nashville, TN | Starting at $75,000

Fresh Creative Studios is seeking an experienced, hands-on Digital Producer (DP) to own the day-to-day execution and delivery of our website and digital projects.

This role blends hands-on web production with client & project ownership. The DP will lead assigned digital projects from internal handoff and kickoff through build, launch, and closeout while also working directly within platforms such as Squarespace & Shopify to build pages, implement content, troubleshoot issues, and maintain client websites.

This is not a traditional project management role or a dedicated development role. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable communicating with a client, organizing next steps of a website project, and jumping into the back end of a site to get the work done.

The ideal candidate has strong technical fluency and understands how websites work beyond a visual page builder, including working knowledge of HTML/CSS and experience troubleshooting common web issues. More complex development—custom Shopify Liquid development, advanced integrations, checkout customization, and other code-intensive work—is supported by outside development partners.

The DP reports to the Director of Marketing Services and works closely with designers, strategists, agency leadership, and outside technical partners. As FCS continues to evolve its digital services, this position will also have the opportunity to help improve the systems, processes, and standards that guide how we deliver digital work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Live out Fresh Creative Studios' Core Values
  • Ability to work full-time from Nashville office (hybrid-eligible at manager's discretion following onboarding)
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in web production, digital production, website project management, or similar hands-on, client-facing role; agency experience strongly preferred
  • Strong working proficiency in Squarespace & Shopify, including building pages and sections within existing themes, managing content structure, implementing design systems, making platform-level customizations
  • Working knowledge of HTML & CSS, with the ability to make front-end adjustments and troubleshoot routine website issues beyond platform-native tools
  • Demonstrated experience independently taking website projects from kickoff through launch
  • Experience executing ongoing website support, including text & image updates, navigation changes, blog management, landing pages, product/content updates, alt text, and other day-to-day web requests
  • Strong client communication skills and confidence leading client conversations, gathering requirements, requesting assets, managing feedback, and communicating next steps
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects and priorities without requiring extensive day-to-day oversight
  • Strong judgment around when to solve a technical issue independently and when to engage a specialized developer or contractor
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and ability to implement basic on-page SEO
  • Working familiarity with website analytics and tracking tools, including GA4, tracking pixels, UTMs
  • Experience working within project management software and maintaining clear project documentation
  • Detail-oriented with a strong quality assurance mindset
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to translate between technical, creative, client, and business needs
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to identify problems, recommend solutions, and keep work moving forward
  • Experience within a small or mid-sized creative, marketing, or digital agency preferred

Nice to Have

  • Shopify Liquid familiarity
  • JavaScript familiarity
  • Experience working with Shopify apps, integrations, APIs, or other third-party tools
  • Experience coordinating outside developers or technical contractors

  • Figma familiarity for reviewing, annotating, and implementing approved design files
  • Experience with website analytics reporting and interpreting basic website performance data
  • Experience in food, beverage, hospitality, or lifestyle marketing
  • AI Curiosity, hedged with some skepticism. Our agency values actual intelligence over artificial, especially for creative pursuits. However, this is one of the few roles in our organization that has the opportunity to responsibly augment work with these tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Production & Website Execution

  • Build and maintain websites, pages, and sections within Squarespace and Shopify using approved designs, existing themes, and established design systems
  • Translate approved designs and Figma files into functional, responsive web experiences
  • Execute ongoing website requests including content updates, navigation changes, landing pages, blog posts, product updates, image changes, alt text, and other routine web tickets

  • Support analytics and tracking implementation, including GA4, tracking pixels, UTMs, and related website measurement tools
  • Conduct thorough QA across devices and browsers before client review and launch
  • Manage website launches, including DNS configuration, domain transfers, redirects, integrations, and go-live checklists
  • Maintain organized documentation of website platforms, integrations, credentials, and other technical requirements

Project & Client Ownership

  • Independently own assigned website and digital projects from internal handoff and kickoff through launch and closeout
  • Establish and communicate clear project expectations, next steps, deadlines, dependencies, client responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact for assigned website & digital engagements
  • Lead client kickoffs, project check-ins, website reviews, launch calls, and basic CMS training
  • Gather and organize client content, assets, technical requirements, feedback, approvals
  • Maintain visibility into project status and proactively communicate risks, blockers, or decisions needed before they impact delivery
  • Keep assigned projects organized within FCS systems and maintain accurate documentation of key decisions and next steps
  • Identify client requests that fall outside approved scope and flag potential changes in budget, hours, or timeline before additional work begins
  • Monitor project hours and progress against estimates and raise concerns when work is trending beyond anticipated scope

Technical & Contractor Coordination

  • Identify technical needs that fall outside internal capabilities and clearly document requirements for outside development partners
  • Coordinate day-to-day communication with engaged developers and technical contractors as needed
  • Provide contractors with the information, assets, access, and context required to complete assigned work efficiently
  • Track technical deliverables and proactively identify delays, questions, or quality concerns
  • Review and QA contractor work before it is presented to clients or moved into production
  • Develop enough understanding of technical issues to effectively communicate requirements and solutions between clients, FCS team members, and specialized developers
  • Route complex technical work—including custom Shopify Liquid development, advanced integrations, checkout customization, and code-level accessibility remediation—to appropriate technical resources

Digital Systems & Process Improvement

  • Help establish and continuously improve FCS standards for digital project delivery, including kickoff requirements, project templates, QA procedures, launch checklists, documentation, and closeout
  • Identify recurring technical or operational issues and recommend more efficient approaches
  • Maintain organized and accessible documentation for recurring website processes and client platforms
  • Help improve consistency in how website projects are scoped, handed off, built, reviewed, launched, and maintained
  • Share technical knowledge and best practices with other members of the FCS team when appropriate
  • Stay current on relevant changes to Shopify, Squarespace, web standards, accessibility, SEO fundamentals, and other tools that affect clients
  • Approach changing technologies and processes with curiosity, resourcefulness, and a continuous-improvement mindset

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

A successful DP at Fresh Creative Studios:

  • Can be trusted to take ownership of a website project and move it forward without waiting for constant direction
  • Keeps clients informed and confident throughout the process
  • Is comfortable both managing the work and doing the work
  • Anticipates problems and raises them early rather than allowing them to become emergencies
  • Understands project scope and is mindful of the relationship between time, client expectations, and profitability
  • Solves routine technical challenges independently while recognizing when specialist support is the better solution
  • Produces polished, thoroughly tested digital work that meets FCS standards
  • Makes the digital team more organized, efficient, and consistent over time
  • Collaborates effectively with designers, strategists, leadership, clients, and outside technical partners
  • Brings curiosity and initiative to improving how FCS delivers digital services
