SUMMARY: The Information Technology (IT) Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable system performance, and supporting business operations through effective IT solutions. This role manages IT systems, coordinates event technology needs, and leads initiatives in asset and purchase management while providing high-level technical support across departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Systems Management
- Administer, maintain, and optimize the Jonas software system to support daily business operations.
- Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate updates, and ensure data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with departments to enhance system functionality and user experience.
- Provide training and ongoing support to staff using Jonas and club approved applications.
2. Audio & Video Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to audio/visual equipment, including conference rooms, event spaces, and office systems.
- Maintain and support AV infrastructure such as projectors, displays, microphones, and control systems.
- Ensure seamless operation of communication tools for meetings and presentations.
3. Event Support
- Plan, set up, and provide technical support for internal and external events.
- Coordinate AV, network connectivity, and presentation requirements for events.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and real-time support during events to ensure smooth execution.
4. Asset Management
- Track, manage, and maintain inventory of all IT assets including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and audits.
5. Microsoft 365 & Corporate Tools Management
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related services.
- Manage user accounts, licensing, permissions, and security configurations.
- Provide training and documentation to staff on Microsoft 365 and other corporate tools.
- Evaluate, implement, and support additional enterprise applications used across the organization (including Point of Sale systems), coordinating updates and resolving issues to ensure operational continuity.
- Provide prompt, effective technical support to staff, addressing issues with desktops/laptops, printers, tablets, mobile devices, and phone systems.
- Set up, configure, and deploy new IT equipment (desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, and related peripherals), including installation and updates of operating systems and applications.
6. Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Continuously improve the organization’s cybersecurity strategy and framework.
- Manage email security, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, data protection regulations, and organizational policies.
- Maintain incident response and disaster recovery plans, ensuring business continuity in the event of a breach or system failure.
- Support routine monitoring and maintenance of network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks) and troubleshoot connectivity issues to optimize performance and reliability.
- Assist with endpoint protection by monitoring for vulnerabilities, keeping antivirus/anti-malware tools up to date, and applying security best practices.
- Support data backup and recovery processes, assisting with restores and recovery efforts when needed and escalating complex incidents appropriately.
7. Documentation, Service Tracking & Meeting Support
- Document incidents, service requests, changes, and maintenance activities in the CMMS/ticketing system, including root cause, resolution steps, and follow-up actions.
- Escalate complex or recurring issues to the IT Director as needed, communicating impact, troubleshooting performed, and recommended next steps.
- Maintain accurate IT asset, license, and configuration records to support audits, renewals, lifecycle management, and continuity of operations.
- Provide user, event, and meeting support (in-person and remote), including conference room readiness, presentation/AV setup, connectivity validation, and real-time troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain end-user and technical documentation (SOPs, quick-reference guides, and knowledge base articles) to standardize support and reduce repeat issues.
- Provide day-to-day user guidance on effective use of technology, and create or update user-friendly instructions for commonly used applications and tools.
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage IT infrastructure including networks, servers, and security systems.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of all IT services.
- Enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Jonas systems (preferred or required depending on your organization).
- Experience with AV systems, networking, Microsoft 365, and enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and end-user support skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell for duration of scheduled shift. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
On-site role with after-hours support for events or emergencies. May require lifting and setting up of IT and AV equipment.
Work schedule requires flexibility based on operational needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Position may participate in an on-call rotation and must be available to respond to urgent issues and critical events as needed.
The work environment is of those characteristics to fulfill the above objectives. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
