Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team working from 11:00AM until 6:30PM Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting flowers safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate different driving conditions. The Delivery Driver will operate a refrigerated cargo van while ensuring timely deliveries.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicle (refrigerated cargo van) to transport flowers and plants to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, sometimes lifting heavy items
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with staff, customers, and management regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
- Assist with cleaning and flower prepping duties as needed, including organizing inventory and preparing shipments.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is advantageous.
- Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing deliveries.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining high customer service standards.
