Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) – Full-Time
Join a growing, patient-focused dental team where your skills and experience can make a real difference every day. Our multi-specialty practice is looking for an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to help deliver exceptional care while working alongside a supportive, collaborative team.
We offer General Dentistry, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, and Pediatric Sedation services in a modern, fully digital and paperless office designed to help our team work efficiently and focus on patient care.
We are seeking a full-time EFDA who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and enjoys working in a positive, fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
- Rotating Fridays: 7:45 AM – 2:00 PM
- No nights or weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during a variety of restorative and general dental procedures
- Perform expanded functions as permitted by state regulations and certification
- Place and contour restorative materials
- Fabricate and adjust temporary restorations
- Take dental radiographs
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinical efficiency
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
- Document patient treatment accurately
- Educate patients on treatment and post-operative care
- Work collaboratively with dentists and team members to provide outstanding patient care
What We're Looking For:
- Current Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
- Current radiology certification (if required)
- Dental assisting experience preferred
- Positive, professional attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach to patient care
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
