Salary Range
The hiring salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - 95,000.00 annually, based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are made in consideration of these factors and in alignment with Fremont Bank’s compensation philosophy.

The Trust Associate is responsible for providing administrative and operational support for the Trust Team. Specifically responsible for providing administrative/data entry support for all Trust Officers/Administrators with regards to onboarding new clients and marshaling in new assets.
Role And Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Onboarding of New Accounts: Works with the Trust Officers/Administrators and the trust accounting back-office vendor to ensure that the new account is set-up properly.
- Coordination of collection of assets: Responsible for building relationships with customers, agencies, and organizations that have an interest in any aspect of an account which includes marshaling in assets with constant follow-up until all assets are received.
- Interfaces with clients when needed within the context of onboarding a new relationship and marshaling in assets.
- Serves as additional point of contact for existing clients in partnership with the assigned Trust Officer.
- Develop and maintain an expertise in a specific area of Personal Trust sufficient to be a resource for colleagues in Personal Trust as well as other lines of business within the bank.
- Provide consistent superior service by exceeding client’s expectations while understanding and complying with Trust department policies and governmental regulations.
- Maintains contact with existing clients and beneficiaries to deliver agreed upon services, address customer inquiries and resolve servicing issues.
- Adheres strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Bank and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.
- Works closely with the Fiduciary Tax Preparer/CPAs pertaining to tax issues relating to clients.
- Monitors and pays tax vouchers submitted by clients or needed by outside preparers.
- Works with attorneys in matters relating to clients which include court accountings preparation.
- Responsible for setting up miscellaneous, sundry and offsite assets on the trust accounting system.
- Terminating Accounts: Prepare releases, divide assets, and collect all necessary paperwork; completing all steps on our closing account checklist.
- Makes account distributions per legal document and applicable law per set standards within the department.
- Responsible for facilitating payment approvals.
- Assist in special projects.
- BA/BS in Business Administration or other related finance discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the trust industry and/or adhering to financial operating policies and procedures
- CTFA preferred; not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication needed to develop client and professional relationships
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Proficient computer skills including expertise in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to other computer programs as necessary to perform job function
- Engages in regular interpersonal contact with clients, business professionals and colleagues
- Proven success in handling multiple, diverse, and complex tasks
- General knowledge of investment products and ability to communicate basic investment information to clients
- Ability to meet time constraints without constant supervision
- Professionalism and courtesy in dealing with customers and bank employees
- High degree of accuracy with attention to detail required
