As the LCB you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the brokerage team, with a focus on ensuring timely and compliant Customs entry processing.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Maintain a working knowledge of all rules, regulations, and procedures of U.S. Customs, FDA, USDA and other relevant government agencies.
- Determine proper classification and valuation for a wide variety of commodities.
- Prepare and submit various types of entries, including PGA transmissions, ISF's, In-bonds.
- Handle issues relating to customs clearance such as, but not limited to, Customs exams, FDA holds, ISF holds, AMS mismatches, etc.
- Managing staff performance and providing mentorship
- Optimizing workflows and enhancing customer experience
- Strong leadership, technical Customs knowledge, and problem-solving skills
- Perform additional duties and projects assigned to support business objectives
