Our client is an established global 3PL, proud of their consistent growth, strong employee retention. Now ready to impact their ambitious US expansion plans, they are currently hiring an experienced Chicago-based Commercial Branch Manager to open and lead operations.
As Commercial Branch Manager you will have that sales hunter, go-getter mindset with a certain book of business and potential to open up new doors/new potential.
As Commercial Branch Manager you will have a critical role being the initial Midwest hire, partnering with an established Executive Leadership team based at the New Jersey US HQ.
Key responsibilities:
- Business development and Contract rates/spot rate negotiations with carriers.
- International, Air and Ocean, as well as Domestic carrier negotiations
- Oversee branch operations, including domestic and international freight forwarding.
- Hire, Coach and develop team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Statistical reporting of budgets, monthly profit/loss statements, annual and projected budgets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to support business growth.
- Assuming full responsibility for the P&L, taking corrective actions as needed to meet budgeted targets and achieve defined KPIs in the branch.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by providing timely quotes, clear communication, and client-focused solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and promote a positive workplace culture aligned with organizational values.
