Operations Supervisor / Team Lead
Freight Breakers LLC is seeking a motivated, dependable, and hands-on Operations Supervisor/Team Lead to oversee daily warehouse unloading operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, maintaining productivity, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Position Overview
As the Supervisor/Team Lead, you will oversee a team of approximately 10–15 employees responsible for unloading freight from trailers. You will coordinate daily operations, monitor productivity, maintain accurate records, and serve as the primary point of contact for your team throughout the shift.
Our unloading process is straightforward but physically demanding. Team members unload boxes weighing between 5 and 150 pounds from trailer floors and stack them onto appropriately sized wooden pallets. Once a pallet is full, it is moved using a pallet jack and replaced until the trailer has been completely unloaded. Most trailers are completed by one or two team members within 2–3 hours.

Compensation
- Base pay: $19.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of 10–15 employees
- Promote a safe, productive, and positive work environment
- Address employee concerns and help resolve workplace conflicts professionally
- Ensure team members follow established unloading procedures and safety standards
- Track and record employee attendance
- Maintain trailer activity logs, including start and completion times
- Monitor and document hourly employee assignments and work periods
- Send daily start-of-shift and end-of-shift reports via email
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and complete safety observations
- Monitor trailer progress and workforce allocation throughout the day
- Coordinate multiple teams working on different trailers simultaneously
- Ensure productivity goals and operational standards are met
- Provide hands-on support when operational demands require it
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively through email, text, and phone
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to de-escalate situations and maintain professionalism under pressure
- Physically capable of performing unloading duties when necessary

- End Time: Upon completion of daily trailer volume
