Job Overview
The Sanitation Lead is a member of the Sanitation Team. This team is accountable to the Shift Manager on shift.
This group is part of the production department which includes the Leads; line Mechanics, Team Advisors, Quality Control, Process Improvement Engineer and Production Manager.
The Pasco plant is one of two Vegetable Processing facilities (West Memphis, TN.,); within the vegetable division of the Food Group Division of the Oregon Potato Companay that produces food service, Roasted Vegetables, Mashed Potatoes, Dehydrofrozen Potatoes, Corn and Carrots
Incumbent may be required to work some weekends and/or holidays. Must be flexible and willing to alter schedule on short notice to meet operational goals.
The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the sanitation process as well as have a sound knowledge of Freeze Pack company policies.
The Sanitation Lead must have the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates and maintain clear, consistent communication with the Production department.
Responsibilities
1. Ensures demonstrated leadership of team members and other support personnel is conducted in a Participative management style conductive in operational goals.
2. Coordinates, Monitors and evaluates the training of new production team members.
3. Coordinate cleanup of production equipment and surrounding areas.
4. Ensure that the sanitation procedures are followed.
5. Assists in training of the sanitation employees.
6. Ensures perimeter of plant and grounds are kept free from garbage.
7. Ensures their area is properly staffed.
8. Physical ability to perform the jobs in the Sanitation Team.
9. Leads team members to ensure, food safety, sanitation quality and safety performance meet operational needs.
10. Leads team members to ensure compliance with plant policies, and procedures.
11. Ensures no injury to self or others by following safe work practices and policies.
12. Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge.
13. Ensures self-compliance with Company policies and procedures.
14. Ensures the interface with team members and other support groups is conducted in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.
15. Conducts oneself in a professional manner and ensures appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job and while representing the company.
16. Works with the Team Advisor to ensure that all Structure Job Training requirements, such as records of training sessions, employee training evaluation, etc are maintained in a professional and organized manner.

Qualifications
1. Must have High school diploma, GED; and one year of processing experience or relevant college degree.
2. Must read and sign the Team Leads confidentially agreement.
3. Successful completion of Food Group Division Leadership Skills Assessment Program.
4. Demonstrated knowledge in the sanitation area.
5. Must be able to communicate in a manner to successfully perform job duties.
6. Must be able to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and percentages.)

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Regular presence on the production floor and in an office setting
- Exposure to noise, temperature changes, wet areas, and slick floors
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform physical movements such as bending, climbing, and reaching
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to have manual dexterity in both hands.
- Must be able to push / pull 250 lbs.
