Role Overview
Freestone is seeking a Leasing Intern to support day-to-day leasing operations across our multifamily portfolio. This role provides hands-on exposure to leasing, marketing, and property operations, working closely with the Leasing Manager and broader team.
The Leasing Intern will assist with application coordination, lead management, and unit marketing, helping ensure leasing deals move efficiently from initial inquiry through signed lease.

Responsibilities
Leasing & Lead Management Support:
- Assist in managing inbound leasing inquiries from platforms such as StreetEasy, Zillow, and internal systems
- Track and organize lead flow to ensure no opportunities are missed
- Support the application process by organizing documents and tracking applicant progress
- Assist in reviewing application materials for completeness
- Help coordinate approvals, lease generation, and move-in logistics
- Work closely with leasing and operations teams to ensure smooth deal execution
- Conduct basic market research, including rent comps and competitor analysis
- Work with property management and operations teams to communicate unit readiness and maintenance updates
- Assist with internal reporting and tracking leasing performance metrics
- Support ad hoc projects related to leasing, marketing, and portfolio performance

- Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Interest in real estate, leasing, or property management
- Hands-on experience in multifamily leasing within the NYC market
- Exposure to the full leasing lifecycle—from lead generation to lease execution
- Insight into pricing, marketing strategy, and day-to-day property operations
- Direct mentorship from experienced leasing and operations professionals
- A strong foundation for a career in real estate, property management, or sales
