The Payroll Manager is primarily responsible for managing transactions relating to payroll, benefits, and 401k for the organization. In addition, this position will assist in the accounting and reporting of other entities of our company.

Location – This position is in the office at our corporate headquarters at 16221 Foster St., Overland Park, KS
Pay Range – $66,000 to $68,000 per year, based on experience.

The Payroll Manager is primarily responsible for managing transactions relating to payroll, benefits, and 401k for the organization. In addition, this position will assist in the accounting and reporting of other entities of our company.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Responds to inquiries from the CEO, CFO and Controller, and other company personnel regarding financial results, and special reporting requests.
- Facilitates annual workers' compensation audits.
- Monthly reconciliation of company benefits and working with broker on discrepancies.
- Ensure timely monthly and quarterly Employment Wage returns.
- Experience with third-party payroll systems is required. Use of Paylocity a plus.
- Must be PC proficient and must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with a QuickBooks accounting system a plus.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi task, and meet required deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong character and integrity.
Minimum Required Education And Experience
- Five years experience with payroll and benefit-related duties.
- Experience in the financial report/general ledger areas
