Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize medication therapy outcomes.
- Perform inventory management including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to enhance pharmacy operations.
- Compound custom non sterile medications by following formulas.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
- CPhT preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration practices is essential.
- Experience in non sterile compounding or lab experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting while providing compassionate patient care.
