Summary
Coordinates the transportation customer service process and procedures. Prepares revenue reports, productivity reports and scheduling reports. Assists with training for Customer Service personnel. Processes orders, make shipping arrangements and provides customer service assistance to complete exhibitor orders. Ensures knowledgeable of all Freeman services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares weekly and monthly reports by capturing data on team quality and productivity.
- Prepares various sales, marketing and administrative reports.
- Prepares forecasting and scheduling reports for staffing needs.
- Acts as a liaison with Corporate IT on technology enhancements and/or changes to the transportation system, and ensured changes are accurately implemented and executed.
- Assists with training and coaching initiatives to increase quality and productivity.
- Assists with the development, application and presentation of training programs for the department.
- Answers telephone call inquires, e-mails and online requests for transportation quotes, orders, billing, and tracking.
- Provides customers with information concerning rate quotes.
- Perform tracking functions to locate freight and update customers on shipment status
- Promotes Freeman products and services.
- Researches and resolves complaints to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
- Uses knowledge of Freeman transportation services and strong judgment while responding to the customer's needs.
- Provides and maintains the high level of accuracy and excellent customer service for which Freeman is known.
- Responds to and provides good follow up on transportation related customer inquiries.
- Learns and understands how to efficiently retrieve information from various carrier sites.
- Ensures that all shipment documentation is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintains a high level of communication and coordination with our carrier partners.
- Provides customer service on various aspects of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Provides accurate and timely shipment information to our branches when required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Associates degree preferred, or 3 years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to type 40 wpm or 6,000 KSPH with 95% accuracy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Good problem solving ability.
- Ability to multitask and make detailed yet concise notations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent performance and attendance records.
- Excellent customer service skills.
