Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Site Director to lead student and parent programming, community engagement, and relationship-building efforts, fueling our organization's mission and growth. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of programming for Rosedale Freedom Fellows from 6th - 12th grade. Your leadership will ensure the organization sustains a student enrollment, academic readiness for all Fellows, coordinate with other Site Directors, and build and maintain strong community partnerships.

Reporting to the Freedom Project Network (FPN) Executive Director, you will work in partnership with the FPN staff and directors, current Rosedale staff, Freedom Fellows and families, other FPN affiliates, and community stakeholders to reinvigorate the organization. With a new support structure from the FPN, the RFP is poised to grow and flourish under a new leader who is strategic, visionary, collaborative, responsive, and student-centered.

Responsibilities

  • Set and Steer Program Strategy: Work with the Freedom Project Network Executive Director and Program Director to establish a 3-year plan to build out student enrollment, increase the rigor and diversity of the program offerings, and establish a clear guidepath to achieving that vision.
  • Fundraise to fuel growth: Cultivate existing donor relationships and seek out new ones; set the program on a path toward excellence in financial stewardship.
  • Lead Program Operations: Manage the site team and volunteers to deliver exceptional educational academic year and summer programming. This includes after-school enrichment, arts engagement, educational travel, and community service.

Qualifications

Candidates who fit the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • 3-5 years of experience working at a small nonprofit, preferably focused on political education, organizing and storytelling (strongly preferred)
  • Experience leading a development program, including grant writing, individual giving campaigns, and fundraising events (preferred)
  • Classroom experience is beneficial, with a preference for experience with secondary students

Job Location and Hours

  • Rosedale, Mississippi with regular travel requirements around Mississippi and regionally.
  • As an afterschool program, we meet our students when they are available. This includes evenings, Saturdays, and some longer weekends.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with experience ranging between 45,000 and 55,000 dollars annually. We contribute monthly to a comprehensive health insurance plan for full-time employees.
