The Exhaust Fabricator is a key team member that will be responsible for maintaining high-quality and safety standards on the wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions we produce.
What you'll do:
- Operate a tube bender and bend tubing as needed.
- Build vehicle exhaust systems, gas tanks, and pressure & leak test gas tanks.
- Maintain equipment, inspect for performance and/or safety concerns, and perform troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain compliance with Freedom Motors’ quality and safety standards, policies and procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams and follow both written and verbal work instructions.
- Assist other areas as needed.
- Coursework beyond a high school diploma preferred.
- Previous experience with automotive systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams and follow both written and verbal work instructions.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
