Contract Event Coordinator / PlannerFreedom Event Center – Independent Contractor Opportunity
Freedom Event Center is seeking charismatic, professional, bilingual, and highly organized Event Coordinators / Planners to join our preferred contractor network.
This is a contract-based position, not a full-time or salaried role. Event Coordinators will be contacted on an as-needed basis when a client requests event planning or coordination services as part of their event package.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced event professionals who enjoy working with a variety of clients and events while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.
Position Type
Independent Contractor (1099)
Compensation: Paid per event assignment
Compensation will vary based on:
- Event size
- Event complexity
- Number of planning meetings required
- Scope of services requested by the client
- Duration of event management responsibilities
Compensation details will be disclosed and agreed upon prior to accepting each event assignment.
Position Overview
When a client books event coordination services through Freedom Event Center, the assigned Event Coordinator will serve as the primary planning contact for that client.
The coordinator will work directly with the client to assist with planning, vendor coordination, scheduling, logistics, and event execution while representing Freedom Event Center in a professional manner.
Assignments may range from simple event coordination to full-service event planning depending on the client's needs.
Key Responsibilities for Client Coordination
- Meet with assigned clients to discuss event goals and requirements
- Assist clients with planning timelines and event logistics
- Maintain professional communication throughout the planning process
- Conduct venue walkthroughs when required
Event Planning
- Coordinate event schedules and timelines
- Assist the general manager with the selected vendor recommendations
- Work with decorators, DJs, photographers, caterers, bartenders, and other vendors
- Help create event layouts and planning documents
Event Execution
- Oversee event setup and preparation
- Ensure vendors arrive and perform according to schedule
- Manage event flow and timeline during the event
- Resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Assist with event breakdown and vendor departures
Marketing & Business Development
- Assist with creating event packages and service offerings
- Collaborate with Freedom Event Center's marketing and design team when necessary
- Maintain a professional image that reflects positively on the venue
QualificationsRequired
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Previous experience in event planning, event coordination, event hosting, hospitality, or customer service
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when events require
Preferred
- Experience coordinating weddings, quinceañeras, corporate events, birthdays, or private celebrations
- Experience working with vendors and venue operations
- Sales or client consultation experience

Contractors are free to accept or decline individual event assignments based on their availability.
Pay: $500.00 - $1,200.00 per day
