We are currently seeking a full-time Mental Health Technician working a 12-hour shift with a 2/3 rotating schedule to join our clinical team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mental Health Technician (MHT) is a member of the nursing team responsible for providing direct patient care and supporting a safe, therapeutic environment under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. The MHT assists patients with activities of daily living, monitors and reports changes in patient behavior and condition, and promotes patient safety through continuous observation and environmental awareness.
The MHT assists with therapeutic activities, nutritional support, and routine unit duties while using therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to meet patients' physical, emotional, and behavioral needs. All responsibilities are performed in accordance with the facility's mission, policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards to ensure high-quality patient care.
