Duties
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities including sports, arts, drama, outdoor games, and educational projects
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to promote a respectful environment
- Implement youth development programs that support social skills, teamwork, and personal growth
- Maintain safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and emergency response readiness
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and team members to support each child's individual needs and development goals
- Facilitate youth group activities that promote community involvement and character building
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings such as daycare, camp, or youth programs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols
- Ability to lead outdoor work activities safely and confidently in various weather conditions
- Previous experience in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or similar child-focused roles is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to engage children positively and collaborate with team members effectively
- Experience in special education or working with children with additional needs is a plus
This position will be for elementary aged children. It would be from release of elementary schools (12:50 or 1:50) until 6pm.
Must be 18 years or older, clean background and driving record.
