Freedom Acupuncture, a premier destination for holistic healing and well-being in Watsonville, is looking for a part-time bilingual receptionist to manage front-desk operations. The schedule is 8:45 AM-12:45 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, and . This is an onsite position performed in a peaceful and relaxing acupuncture office environment located on the first floor of an office complex.
JOB DUTIES
- Manage and schedule appointments.
- Assist owner with insurance billing related tasks, including verifying patients’ insurance benefits and researching unpaid claims.
- Manage and schedule use of office space by other practitioners and act as the primary point of contact.
- Handle business-related phone calls and correspondence (email, letters, packages, etc.).
- Track inventory and replace office supplies as necessary.
- Perform physical turnaround of rooms between clients.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish.
- Tech-savvy with a strong problem-solving mindset to address technological challenges effectively.
- Operation of standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners, and proficiency with software such as MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and/or Google Office Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail).
- Excellent customer service skills on the phone, in person and written.
- Medical office experience a plus.
- High school diploma with college degree preferred.
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Changing linens and cleaning rooms in between patients, approximately 12 times per day (on average).
- Handling supplies and maneuvering treatment tables on a daily basis.
- Standing or moving between treatment rooms for approximately 50% of each shift.
- Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Assisting patients with disabilities pre- and post-treatment (e.g. assistance with accessing treatment tables, putting shoes and socks on/taking them off, helping a patient in a wheelchair to maneuver).
