What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Dog Hotel / Dog Handler position at freeDOGm?
Job Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
- Meet and greet all customers and their dogs coming into our facility.
- Provide top quality customer service, by constantly communicating with our customers regarding their dogs while they are in our care.
- Receive the dogs and transport them to the parks.
- Bring dogs from and to the parks and deliver them to their owners at check out.
- Check in/check out dogs into the different services we offer, make reservations, update client’s information, charge customers, manage dogs’ food schedules, medications, baths and others. Manage thoroughly our software system.
- Answer phone calls and reply to emails.
- Provide information about our facility via phone, email, text or in person.
- Make daily videos and photos of the dogs interacting in the parks and send them to their owners.
- Coordinate with park rangers in order to cover for them during their breaks.
- Bathe dogs
- Feed dogs in the morning, lunch and afternoon.
- Clean dogs’ suites in necessary, maintain the lobby and all other areas of the facility clean.
- Manage multi-dog play groups, ranging from small to big dogs, at outdoor and indoor parks.
- Provide a safe, controlled, and clean environment at the parks at all times.
- Use safe handling techniques to monitor dogs' play and interaction.
- Walk dogs to and from the parks to their rooms and/or to owners for pick up.
- Responsible for the well-being of the dogs in our care.
- Responsible to observe good health practices and procedures in the boarding of dogs and in cases involving animal sickness, responsibility to adhere to sick animal protocol and act accordingly.
- Dispense medications if needed.
- Cleaning duties.
Qualifications:
- Must love dogs!!
- Must speak English, Spanish is a plus
- Must have customer service experience.
- Must have experience working with dogs.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must work well with dogs and humans in a fast-paced environment.
- Should be able to perform physically demanding work.
- Should be able to work in a noisy environment.
- Should be able to understand general dog behavior.
- Should be able to walk, bend, kneel or crouch and lift or move up to 50 LBS.
- Should be able to work in and outside in all weather conditions.
- Must be available Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3pm, and Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm. If hired, your schedule will be six days a week, 35 to 40 hours per week.
- Pay is based on experience and job performance.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
