About the Role:
Our Poultry Processing Associates play a vital role in two key departments: Live Receiving and Evisceration. These are the first steps in poultry production, where teamwork, attention to detail, and reliability keep operations moving smoothly. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires focus, responsibility, and consistent attendance.

Live Receiving – What You’ll Do:

• Safely unload and hang live chickens on shackles as they arrive.
• Keep shackles full with birds at all times to maintain a steady production flow.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to stay on track.
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards, including proper use of PPE.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support production goals.

Live Receiving – Skills & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 8 lbs. regularly.
• Frequent bending/twisting and repetitive use of hands.
• Comfortable working with live animals.
• Dependable team player with good communication skills.

Evisceration – What You’ll Do:

• Prepare birds for further processing by removing feathers, internal organs, and other non-usable parts.
• Harvest giblets, trim damaged tissue, wash carcasses inside and out, grade for quality, and truss legs.
• Use hand tools such as knives, scissors, and vacuum wands.
• Hang and remove birds from shackles during processing.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following safety and sanitation guidelines.

Evisceration – Skills & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Stand/walk 90% of the shift with frequent reaching at shoulder height.
• Perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, and hands, including fine motor skills.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 10 lbs. regularly.

Pay range includes the $1.00 shift differential for each position on the third shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.59 - $18.73 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
