What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern - Food & Beverage, Blackwolf Run position at Free Internship Account?
DestinationKohler Food & Beverage interns will rotate around our various outletsfocusing on both Front of the House and Back of the House operations. Internswill have the opportunity to see all aspects of F&B Operations includingservice, associate training, inventory management, associate management,operating procedures, and will have exposure to participating in projects suchas menu development and specials dinning events.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
\tMonitor the restaurant floor & leading communicationbetween FOH & BOH
\tMonitor and execute all food and beverage orders andensure the quality and appearance of the presentation
\tTrain in all positions of the restaurants in order tohave a better understanding of each position including both BOH and FOH.
\tLearn how to write schedules, handle cash, officereporting and Social Media
\tAssist the outlet manager with cover forecasting,scheduling, payroll & labor controls
\tLead opening and closing procedures of assigned outlet
\tManage inventory levels to include: daily productrequisition requests, minimizing waste and spoilage, and conducting inventorycounts
\tAssist department managers with any special assignments
\tConduct pre-shift meetings for the AM & PM staffmembers
\tAttend weekly Food & Beverage staff meetings and/orteam meetings as needed
\tAssist management with daily administrative tasksincluding but not limited to purchasing, ordering, invoicing, scheduling,records control and filing.
\tAssist in reconciling all operational paperwork includingbut not limited to guest receipts and vendor invoices.
\tWork with staff and management team to ensure proper costcontrols and inventory levels.
\tCoordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smoothoperation and guest satisfaction.
\tAssist with food and beverage service per the course oforder.
\tObserves guests and ensure their satisfaction with thefood and service.
\tPromptly respond to guest with any additional request.
\tHelp other areas of the restaurant.
\tTraining restaurant front of house staff.
\tAssist with overseeing the dining room flow and ensuringproper distribution of assigned stations.
\tResolve escalated guest concerns.
\tCreate and execute special projects and assignments.
\tAssist in answering telephone calls from guests.
\tPerform the responsibilities of Servers,Bartenders, and Host/ess as needed
Shifts vary weekends & weekdays between 5:45 am and 10:00 pm.
Skills/Requirements
\tMust be enrolled at a college or university seeking a degree in Hospitality or Resort Management
\tPrevious Food & Beverage experience is preferred
\tMust be 18 or older
