Food and Beverage Innovation Intern

Cumberland Farms is a leading convenience retailer and a member of the EG America family of brands. The Foodservice Intern will collaborate with the Marketing and Culinary Center teams to support the development and commercialization of new menu items for the food & beverage program, leading product development processes from ideation to in-store launch.   Responsibilities \tDevelop new menu concept ideas for stagegate review \tConduct research on trends and flavor profiles, including competitive assessment, market research, and consumer insights \tGenerate 3-5 ideas for new menu items and submit for further vetting based on market data \tManage stagegate process for advancing ideas \tPrepare materials for submission to stagegate reviews, including briefing documents, market research, and preliminary financial model \tFollow stagegate process, securing necessary reviews and building timelines for launch that include all readiness activities as defined by the organization \tValue engineer products for our economic requirements, in partnership with Culinary Center \tEngage vendors for samples and costs \tDevelop recipes and cook settings using available equipment \tCoordinate cuttings with relevant stakeholders \tLead in-house sensory events to gather broader consumer feedback \tRigorously document options and builds in compliance with reporting requirements \tProvide information on product specs to production, Health & Safety, and advertising teams \tMaintain accurate costing and financial information   Required \tGoing into Junior or Senior year of undergraduate degree, studying culinary science or related fields (major or minor) \tExcellent oral and written communication skills \tProficient in Microsoft Office Suite \tOrganized problem-solver capable of building a workplan to support achieving an objective \tAbility to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds   Preferred \tSome economics or financial coursework preferred   Benefits \tA variety of financial and non-financial benefits that invest in your overall growth, well-being, and career journey.
