Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in New Orleans, LA, as a Programs & Advocacy Manager. The manager will oversee the development, planning, and implementation of advocacy and educational programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing projects, coordinating with team members and stakeholders, conducting research to support programming objectives, preparing written communications, and engaging with the community to further organizational goals. The manager will also lead initiatives to promote equitable policies and uplift the voices of youth and families impacted by immigration and legal systems.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Writing skills, including the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences and craft compelling messages
- Experience in Program and Project Management, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate initiatives effectively
- Proficiency in Research to support program objectives and advocacy efforts
- Ability to foster collaboration with community members, stakeholders, and team members
- Passion for social justice and addressing systemic barriers affecting youth and families
- Experience in policy advocacy, education, or working with immigrant communities is a plus
